Field Visits sustainability

Event Confederation wants to support our industry on its path towards a more sustainable future. We all know that this is challenging & inspiring at the same time.
By organising these field visits we want to share some best practices of how to shape your sustainable event. Colleagues will share their experiences and insights on their successes or failures.

OM Conference: Approach on sustainability ​

The organisation of the OMConference takes into account the 9 pillars that we always put first in the organisation of any sustainable event. We look at the accessibility of the venue and visitors can almost drive into the Elisabeth Hall by train. The Elisabeth Hall is a Green key venue that meets all energy standards and also provides us with culinary vegetarian catering. A lot of the lighting & sound are already present in the hall as well as most of the furniture. Everything we need from signage has been recycled as much as possible from the past year and program booklets and other prints have also been avoided. We also encourage people through a mobility plan to travel in a more sustainable way for this event, and since we are in Antwerp, this is often a better choice given the many and long traffic jams. Also the partners of the event get guidelines for sustainability on their stands (materials, goodies, ... ).
