Field Visits sustainability
Event Confederation wants to support our industry on its path towards a more sustainable future. We all know that this is challenging & inspiring at the same time.
By organising these field visits we want to share some best practices of how to shape your sustainable event. Colleagues will share their experiences and insights on their successes or failures.
Stories Unfold: Approach on sustainability
The Rubens Castle is located in a green and fragile environment. Stories Unfold will therefore be organized to the highest possible standards of climate sustainability.
Water consumption is limited by using composting toilets
Our carbon footprint is precisely measured and compensated.
Waste is minimized and properly separated.
We monitor energy consumption (100% green via fixed grid), CO2 concentration, amount of particulate matter and noise level.
The entire event works with 100% reusable catering materials, serves mainly vegetarian/vegan meals (90% of the menu) and deals with food waste consciously.
After the event, reusable materials (banners, flags, wood,...) are given a second life (collaboration with circular partners).
All parties involved (suppliers, organizers, artists, visitors, employees,...) are made aware of the sustainability approach. Everyone is also asked to sign an ECO charter for this purpose.
